2024 aluminum alloy plate aluminum - copper - magnesium lines typical of the hard alloy, its composition is more reasonable, better overall performance. Is the largest amount of hard aluminum. 2024 aluminum plate is a high strength aluminum alloy with higher strength than 2011, with adequate work ability. With its high strength and excellent fatigue resistance, it is used to advantage on parts and structures where a good strength-to-weight ratio is desired.
2024 aluminum plate is readily machined at high speeds and gives accurate machining detail with a high finish. 2024 aluminum plate in the annealed condition is easily formed and may be subsequently heat treated. 2024 aluminum plate has good stress corrosion cracking resistance. Since corrosion resistance is relatively low, 2024 aluminum plate is commonly used with an anodized finish or in clad form, with a thin surface layer of high purity aluminum for increased corrosion resistance. Electrical conductivity is 35% of copper

Alloy 2024 aluminum plates are perhaps the best known and most widely used aircraft alloy. Since it exhibits high yield strength and relatively good fatigue resistance, it is readily used on structures and parts where good strength-to-weight ratio is desired. Because of its good machinability and superior grain structure, Alloy 2024 plate is essential for precision fittings and parts. Though this alloy does not have good corrosion resistance, welding by resistance method is feasible
